I will take this opportunity to communicate a few important points to all our previous players, and I will apologise in advance for the length:
Active Kids Rebate
This year the NSW Government will provide a $100 voucher to parents/guardians of school enrolled children. The $100 voucher can be used for registration and participation costs for sport and fitness activities. It is important to note that vouchers cannot be split between multiple clubs or registrations, so it’s a one use only policy. The voucher is per child and cannot be redeemed until the 1st February, however that should not stop you registering as you can still claim the rebate and pay the lesser amount, we just need your voucher code updated after the 1st February when the system comes online.
HHFC continues to pride itself on development for all age groups and this will continue to remain a very important aspect of our club in 2018. Our fees will continue to include weekly professional coaching from T3 Australia for the U6 – U11 age groups which ensures consistency and improvement no matter what level of skill your child possesses. We continue to receive overwhelming support for our T3 development and we are proud to continue to offer it again in 2018. We have listened to your feedback and will also have a head coach from T3 observing games on Saturday mornings and tailoring the development experience to the needs of the individual teams as witnessed within games.
In the older age groups we will once again be running development squads in 2018 with the only change being that development is now being powered by Northern Tigers XLR8 program which was highly successful in 2017. If you or your child are selected for a development squad (this includes Superleague), then you will need to pay a Dev Squad fee on top of your registration fee. Participation in a development squad is not compulsory. If there any questions please don’t hesitate to contact Stuart Dever or Troy Sheather who is our newly appointed Coaching Co-Ordinator).
The HHFC Committee has maintained its long-term vision for growth and development of our football club particularly within girl’s football. Sustainability and excellence are both linked in many ways to player numbers and we want to continue the growth that we have had over the past years. Mick and Maxine have done a fantastic job of continuing to build on girls football and we are very pleased to announce that Chloe Logarzo, an Australian Matilda will take up the role of Female Football Technical Director for the club!
In 2017 we had the highest percentage of female players playing for a club in the NSFA and we’d like to continue that in 2018. Of particular note in 2017 was the women’s Over 30 6 a side competition, where we formed three teams who showed amazing comradery and had a huge amount of fun. Some of our players had not played soccer/sport at all or for a long time but had the time of their lives. This is a great opportunity to dip a toe in the water as its played on a smaller field and kick off times are on Saturday from 1:00pm until 3:30pm so it doesn’t interrupt with watching your own children play on Sat mornings. More importantly, it is great for the kids to watch mum have a go! We also managed to build a highly successful Women’s All Age team who took out the competition. We also managed to provide the NSFA Tigers with ~38% of their female players for representative football, something that we are extremely proud of. In 2018, we want 275 active Girls U6 to U18 footballers in our club, this is our BHAG. We need your help to help us achieve our goal, so please spread the word that we at HHFC are focused on providing the best possible opportunities for girl’s football. Just a reminder that girls can play in both Mixed Saturday and Girls Only Sunday competitions and receive their second registration FREE of charge.
